Contaminated soil and sediments
Torkapparater offers technical solutions designed for treatment of different types of contaminated soils, e.g. thermal treatment of contaminated soils at closed down petrol stations:
- Contaminated soil is heated in order to gasify and post combust hydrocarbons
- Soil contaminated by oil is indirectly heated in a rotary heater in order to gasify and recondense the oil, alternatively to post combust the oil separately
- Different materials e.g. contaminated ash is post combusted in a separate kiln with indirect heat transmission
- Existing treatment plants can be equipped with a pre-dryer using hot off-gases in order to lower specific energy consumption
